Does anyone have any tips for remembering emacs commands? This is one thing I do struggle

I think the tutorial provides some mnemonics as you work through it, such as 'y'
for yank and meta key sequences for one type of granularity and control sequences for
another.

Emac commands are very memory friendly, work your way through the emacs
tutorial keystrokes these two keys together (control + h) then the t key,
or as emacs users expect it to be written "C-h t".
You will notice that Control key commands (C-) and Alt (or "Meta") key
commands (M-) are usually related and that the relationship is consistent.
